Brian Townley
Senior Vice President of The National Banks of Central Texas, Brian serves as their Director of Marketing and Director of Human Resources and Employee Development. He is also President of Motivational Management Group, which is owned by The National Banks of Central Texas.
Brian has been in the banking industry since 1987, where he has a rare blend of bank operations and bank marketing knowledge. He is a graduate of Texas Bankers Associations Operations School, Texas A&M University’s Bank Operations Institute, American Bankers Association’s Bank Marketing and Management School and University of Wisconsin’s Graduate School of Banking – Human Resources School. He is also a Certified Financial Marketing Professional, CFMP and serves on many industry boards and committees.
He has spoken at state and national banking conferences and schools since 2005—sharing many employee incentive and motivational strategies, which include employee sales campaigns and marketing plans he has developed for his organization. Brian enjoys teaching others how to bridge the gap between employers and employees to get the most benefit for their organization.
In 2005, the Texas Bankers Association asked Brian to come speak to other Texas Bankers on his bank’s success. From that first event, word of mouth interest spread to the point where Brian has become a popular national speaker and also featured in various articles in banking publications.
Over the years, Brian has received many requests from other bankers asking for assistance in developing programs similar to the ones he has presented. This demand resulted in The National Banks creating an avenue for Brian to consult with other banks, The Motivational Management Group.
Brian has created many successful motivational programs that have been incorporated within employee incentive plans, talent management solutions, employee sales campaigns and marketing plans, just to name a few. His expertise is based on his real world experience where he has implemented strategies that create results, build morale and insist on accountability.
In July 2011, he released his first book, Inspiring Leadership – Unleashing Motivation in the Workplace, which shares his trademark leadership tactics that have played a major role in his personal achievements as well as the success of The National Banks of Central Texas.
